Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about my family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site was to help my children learn about their family history. I also hoped to encourage others to take up this 'hobby' by showing how much I have acheived in a relatively short time.
My name is Steve Atkinson and I have been into geneology since about January 2002. Some of this information was obtained from talking to living relatives and some from researching public records. However, most of it was obtained from Web sites. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible and have managed to trace some of my anstestors back to the 1400's.
This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help.
